The service
ourano offers language learning through real film and TV clips, including playback, tap-to-define, shadowing scores, and vocabulary review. Feature availability differs between the free tier and the subscription, as shown in the app.
Accounts
You need a valid contact address to register and you are responsible for activity on your account. Change your password if you see a login you do not recognise.
Content rights
Clips are used within licensed scope. All titles remain the property of their respective rights holders. Site copy and design are owned by ourano.
Subscription and refunds
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period and can be cancelled in the app at any time. If service is disrupted for more than 72 hours due to technical failure, pro-rata refunds are available on request.
Acceptable use
Do not scrape content with automated scripts, resell subscription benefits, or use the service for anything unlawful.
Disclaimer
The service is provided as is. We work to keep it reliable but do not guarantee learning outcomes, and we are not liable for indirect loss arising from use or inability to use.
Changes
Changes to these terms are announced in the app 14 days ahead. Continuing to use the service after that means accepting them.
